KFC Hot Wings are not to be confused with the KFC Nashville chicken. These are chicken wingettes that can be added as an 8 piece to a $20 fill up meal for $5 or are also sold in a combo with 3, 5, 10, or 20 wings. With no pricing posted for the combos, I went with the 5 piece because I didn’t want to be under siege with a $10 lunch at KFC. If I wanted that, I could have just purchased their buffet. Price of the 5 piece combo was $5.69 plus local taxes.
Upon arrival to my table, these wings were much smaller than I had anticipated. In hindsight, I wish I would have just went with the 10 piece, but I expected a wing. A real wing! Maybe even a McDonald’s Mighty Wing! These were barely a 2 biter with most of the bite being consumed up with just breading. If it wasn’t for having to bite around the bone, they were measly 1 bite wings. Where’s the chicken KFC? #Disappointed
I’m also surprised they called these Hot Wings. To me, it tastes like their Extra Crispy breading with the only real spice being added to them by black pepper.
Overall taste was good but just too small and not truly a “hot” wing either. It just left me wanting more.
