Burger King Grilled Whopper Dog

The one thing that can be said about Burger King is they aren’t afraid to try something new. They recently unveiled their brand new creation… The Whopper Dog. The dog is exactly what you’d think.  All the toppings of their world famous Whopper Sandwich all thrown onto a hot dog.

“The WHOPPER® Dog is a flame-grilled hot dog made with 100% beef topped with lettuce, ketchup, mayo, chopped onions, and pickles and served on a fluffy baked bun.” – Burger King

As you know from my previous review of the BK Chili Cheese Dog, the 100% all beef dog was of good quality but just wasn’t warm enough. This dog, had the same problem. This may be a fault of my local BK and yours may be hot and fresh  This the third consecutive time that I have received a lukewarm hot dog so that takes a LOT away from the experience.

In comparison, looks are totally different. The two dogs don’t even compare, but you come to realize this pretty quick when it comes to your meals in the fast food world. The hot doing was split down the middle again for whatever reason. I still don’t know if this is on purpose or not since their dogs in their promotional pictures never show this but the ones that I get from the stores are.

Overall taste of the dog as a whole wasn’t bad. Having mayo on a dog was the hardest part for me to get over but in the end, it didn’t have too bad of an overall flavor. Just makes me wonder how good they could be if you could get one fresh off the grill and not one that was made earlier in the day.
