Arby’s Bourbon Bacon & Brisket

These Bourbon Bacon sandwiches are a limited time offering and are available at Arby’s three different ways as they can be purchased with Brisket, Steak, or Turkey. I just stared at the pictures of these on the menu because I couldn’t decide which one to go with. I would up having to ask the worker which is was their most popular one, and she told me it was the brisket. Since it’s the most popular, I thought it would be a great one to review.

Lots of time and thought and Kentucky bourbon dijon sauce went into this one. Not to mention 13-hour Smoked Brisket topped with Brown Sugar Bacon, smoked cheddar and crispy onions, sandwiched between a toasty specialty roll.  Just look at that presentation of that sandwich and that melted cheese. This is one of the best looking items I’ve ever received in my vast fast food history!

I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve never been a huge fan of Arby’s because I’ve never really thought their roast beef was anything special. I haven’t been in one in a couple of years but when I saw this ad on tv, I knew that was going to change. This sandwich looked delicous, and I couldn’t wait to order one for myself. When it arrived to my table, I think it even looked better in person!

The taste was awesome as well. Brisket had a good smoky flavor. Bacon was crispy but still added a nice sweet tasting chew. No need to add any Arby’s sauce to this one either as it comes with their Creamy Bourbon Dijon mustard and adds a wonderful Dijon taste. This was by far my most enjoyable experience ever at Arby’s, and I will absolutely make more appearances there because of this sandwich. In fact, I thought their entire menu looked new, improved and very tasty.  It makes me want to try one of everything!
