Burger King Cheetos Chicken Fries

Burger King has been hitting the mash-ups pretty hard lately, and this months item is no different. Burger King had some success in sales off of the Mac ‘n’ Cheetos so they have taken the Cheetos flavor and combined it with their Chicken Fries. From that, the Cheetos Chicken Fries were born. The Cheetos Chicken Fries are made with white meat chicken like original Chicken Fries, and are covered in a crispy Cheetos-flavored breading and cooked to crispy perfection so that they have a dangerously cheesy outside with and made with juicy white meat chicken inside.  Sounds appealing to me so I’ll have to try these out for myself!

First things first, 1 extra Cheetos Chicken Fry. Extra food is always a good place to start when there is a hungry blogger getting ready to sink his teeth in. With the Mac ‘n’ Cheetos, you got a decent amount of cheesy taste but it was hard to tell if it was from the macaroni inside or if it was from the Cheetos flavoing that was on the outside. With the first bite, I don’t really get much flavor. What flavor I did get, I would really consider the taste to be that of burnt cheese. The addition of the Cheetos to these is really just for the name sake because it didn’t add much of a Cheetos taste to it whatsoever. Especially not anything for a positive.

A way I think these could have been made better is the addition of Cheetos Dust. You know that crap that sticks all over to your fingers whenever you eat Cheetos. That is what this is missing! Cheetos Dust! You just do not get the feel of eating Cheetos without that so maybe they should have stuck with their regular Chicken Fries, and then as soon as they take those out of the fryer, sprinkle Cheetos dust all over them. It would stick to the Chicken Fries just like it sticks to Cheetos.

So Burger King, I challenge you to find a way to get Cheetos Dust into a shaker. Shake this dust onto your freshly cooked Chicken Fries, or your Tendercrisp sandwich, OR even your bland, tasteless french fries. If you motto is still “Have It Your Way”, let the customer choose how they want their meal and what they want their Cheetos Dust on. That way the customer still gets the feeling and taste of actually Cheetos instead of a taste of burnt cheese that you get from the outer layer of the Cheetos Chicken Fries.

I think then, these would be more enjoyable!
