Wow.. that’s the first thing I could use to describe this. Normally when I go to McDonald’s, I know it’s always going to be the same ol’, same ol’ McDonald’s meal. The menu is never exciting, nor does it ever change. That is why I was in so much shock to actually see not just 1 new sandwich, but the ability to mix and match and actually create EIGHTEEN personalized sandwiches with the addition of their New Signature Crafted Burgers.
These Signature Crafted Burgers totally classes up the trip to McDonald’s and gives you the feeling of eating a burger at somewhere like Red Robin. They are introducing their Pico Guacamole, Sweet BBQ Bacon, and Maple Bacon Dijon sandwiches. ALL of these you can choose between a 1/4 lb patty, Artisan Grilled Chicken, or Buttermilk Crispy Chicken. If these options were enough, you also get the choice between their regular Sesame Seed bun or their Artisan Roll. Just know that by choosing the Artisan Roll, you automatically add 50 calories to your sandwich!
I’m going to make sure to get in a try a variation of each of these sandwiches but today I started off with the Maple Bacon Dijon 1/4 lb Cheeseburger on the Artisan Roll. The Maple Bacon Dijon sandwich is layered with thick-cut Applewood smoked bacon sprinkled with sweet maple seasoning, creamy dijon sauce, grilled onions, smooth white cheddar, and crisp leaf lettuce on a 1/4 lb of 100% pure beef with absolutely no fillers, additives or preservatives. And what a sandwich this was too!
A great juicy cheeseburger with even better toppings! The grilled onions, maple bacon and the creamy dijon made a great combination with the white cheddar cheese and made this sandwich really enjoyable.
I haven’t said this many times in my life but I can’t wait to get back to McDonald’s so I can get a chance to try variations of the other two. McDonald’s needs these to succeed to bring some excitement to their menu and are pulling out no stops as they are offering you a free fry and a drink with the purchase of any of these sandwiches. How can it get any better than free food?!
Let me know what you think. I would love to hear opinions!
